Our story
Advance Medical Lab opened in Mission, Texas with a simple premise: the Rio Grande Valley deserves a high-quality independent laboratory that actually knows its patients and its providers. For too long, Valley residents relied on national chains that shipped samples out of the region, answered support calls with 1-800 numbers, and had no local accountability.
We built AML differently — with dedicated phlebotomy routes, same-day turnaround, and a team that reflects the community we serve. Today we partner with home health agencies, nursing homes, hospice providers, and individual patients across Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy counties.

AML is a standalone CLIA-certified laboratory founded in Mission, TX in 2010, independently owned and operated by local partners who live and work in the Rio Grande Valley. Advance Medical Lab is accredited by COLA, an independent, CMS-approved laboratory accreditor — our quality systems are surveyed against nationally recognized standards, not just self-reported.
